1) Ethos- "My three decades of experience in public service, my tireless commitment to the people of this community, and my willingness to reach across the aisle and cooperate with the opposition, make me the ideal candidate for your mayor."
The person running for mayor is stating what they have contributed to the community in order to express how their being selected as mayor would be the best option. They began their statement asserting the amount of time they have spent doing great things for their community in order to express not only dedication and loyalty, but also to show how experienced they are.  Aside from using credibility from their actions, this person appeals to the fact that they can also cooperate with the opposition exhibiting a sort of social grace.
Pathos- "You’ll make the right decision because you have something that not many people do: you have heart.There is no greater appeal to a person's emotions than through their heart. By saying that they will decide what is right by using their heart a person may experience shifts of emotions. The emotions may vary from guilt to remorse to love. 
Logos- "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury: we have not only the fingerprints, the lack of an alibi, a clear motive, and an expressed desire to commit the robbery… We also have video of the suspect breaking in. The case could not be more open and shut."It is logical that with such overwhelming evidence, the accused is beyond doubt guilty. The logic lays simply in all the forms of evidence that reveal who the criminal was.


2)The electoral collage is meeting to choose the next president. In reality, it is the electoral college that takes into consideration the votes from American citizens in order for them to decide who they will vote for. After they have taken into cosideration the total votes from all the states, they debate until each has decided who they would want as president. There is a tie within the electoral college and one person's vote is going to decide who will win presidency for the country. The person will be influenced by both sides, being told who would run the country best. "He will fix the economic issues of our country" "But he will stop abortions." These statements are said to convince the last voter of the best choice for presidency. After carefully careful consideration they choose the best option. 


3)Rhetoric is the way some things are said or written in order to persuade a person or an audience to do or choose something. Rhetoric may at times appeal to emotion but it does not take into consideration how it may hurt a person. Its purpose is to simply state the facts that are necessary in persuading the target. It is important to study to be able to recognize its use in daily lives. Whether it be something as simple as choosing a toothpaste at the store to making an important decision that is going to affect a persons future. Without the knowledge of what rhetoric is there is no way to know how we are affected by it in our daily lives.
