Prompt #1

This prompt has three parts. Try to answer each with 100-150 words.

1. Find an example of Ethos, Pathos, and Logos online. It can be one example that has all three, or three examples that exemplify each. Put your example(s) in your post so we all can see. Then, explain to us why/how they exemplify the three concepts.
   
2. Lloyd Bitzer articulated three aspects of the rhetorical situation: Exigence, Audience, and Constraints. Based on how he describes them in the article, give us an example of a rhetorical situation from the public sphere, articulating each aspect of Bitzer's theory.
   
3. Based on our class from Thursday, try to explain in your own words what rhetoric is and why we should study it.
