1.     So what?

Human sex trafficking is an ongoing social problem that occurs throughout our society everyday.  While this problem is one that is commonly ignored, it is a serious issue and it affects women throughout the nation and the world.  What many don’t realize is the psychological and physical abuse associated with sex trafficking and how these affects can harm women for the rest of their lives. 

2.     Summary of the movement

For decades, years, and all throughout history, women have been victims from the coercion and manipulation of their dominant counterpart, men.  It is only recently in our history that women have gained the equality and freedom to be heard.  However, in our current society women have been subjected to our current societal problem of human sex trafficking.  Sometimes it is questioned on whether certain instances can be qualified as sex trafficking because sometimes it can be viewed as prostitution.  Women can be coerced and manipulated into these dangers as well as being forced.  The organization, Shared Hope, works to bring awareness to this problem.  They provide numerous accounts from victims themselves explaining personal stories of sex trafficking.  These victims provide credibility and make the audience see that this problem is alive and prominent in our society and can happen to anyone.  Using this technique, society will become more aware of the dangers associated with this problem.  This attempt is used to slow down and eventually bring an end the human sex trafficking. 

3.     Thesis statement

Human sex trafficking is a dangerous social problem that is widespread throughout our society.  Organizations and individual protestors use rhetorical strategies and tactics such as social reality, identification, and storytelling to bring awareness to the problem in an attempt slow down and eventually end the human sex trafficking.

5.     Further Research

Further research can be done to analyze the primary stories of victims.  I can look into theses accounts and find quotes that use these strategies and incorporate them directly into my paper.
